Halloween

The boys had a great Halloween. Dustin, Dylan, and I were all able to go to Camerons school and watch the Halloween parade and then join his class for treats. We then picked up Ethan from the sitters and quickly ran home for the rest of our costumes. Dustin and I had made Cam's the night before (he had changed his mind from being a bat to a dragon on the sunday before Halloween. It was a good thing I hadn't started on that costme yet! But I must say his costume turned out great...complete with light up blue eyes and light up fire breath.) Dylan finally got to be the frog he had wanted to be for years! And on Halloween day I had made Ethan a wizard costume complete with white beard and everything...which as you can see he refused to wear so therefore became the Lion that Dylan had worn two years before! Dustin and I got into the spirit and he was a knight and I the princess. We had a great evening at Groton's Halloweeen event where Cameron and Ethan both won a prize for best costumes. We then went trick or treating around a local neighborhood where the kids got loaded down and Ethan had an emotional breakdown where I spent the rest of the night in the van waiting for the boys to get done. All in all though it was a great night for everyone. Oh yeah...my parents went to a dress up Special Olympics event where my Mom was a hippie and my Dad a well...see for yourself! (Ethan hated his costume and cried everytime he walked into the room!)

First Day of School

Camerons first day of first grade. I actually had Cameron ready for school a day early. We got caught up in my sister and my Mom saying school was starting on Tuesday (it was for them)....that we got Cam and the other boys all up and running and I drove him to school just to realize school wouldn't be starting until the next day. We had a pretty good laugh about it and Cam was excited to get a practice run before the real thing!

The Newest Member of Our Family

Here she is....isn't she adorable. Her name is Kessie which means Chunky Baby. She is about 12 weeks old and is part Chow and part Australian Shepherd. The boys just love her and she really likes them too...especially Cameron. She loves to play but calms down instantly and lays to be petted. We have only had her half a day and already she has stolen a place in our hearts!
